JUBA, JANUARY 23, 2026 — President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Friday received Letters of Credence from newly accredited ambassadors, reflecting South Sudan’s growing global relations.
The ambassadors are from France, Germany, the European Union, the African Union, Ethiopia, Egypt, and the Russian Federation, all working to establish their presence in Juba.
During the ceremony, the President welcomed the envoys, reiterating the government’s commitment to enhance and deepen diplomatic relations and cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
The ambassadors pledged to continue supporting South Sudan’s efforts toward peace, stability, investment, and democracy throughout their tour of duty.
The presentation marked the official start of service for the seven ambassadors, signifying South Sudan’s growing engagement with foreign nations and regional and international organisations.
