Juba, January 26, 2026 —President Salva Kiir Mayardit has received a special message from the Chairman of the Sudan Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, emphasising the significance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
The message was conveyed to the President by the Deputy Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Malik Agar Eyre. The message emphasised the importance of peace, trade, and cultural exchange, among other matters.
The leaders reaffirmed that dialogue and cooperation are essential, as this advances the positive relationship between the two nations as one of the key factors that contribute to peace and harmony within the wider region.
